Keystone State Park Pennsylvania

JR Paving & Construction Co

Keystone State Park was established in 1902 and is one of the oldest state parks in Latrobe PA. The park was originally created to provide a place for people to enjoy the outdoors and escape the industrialization of the cities. The park has undergone several changes over the years, but remains a popular destination for those looking to enjoy the beauty of nature.

It is a popular destination for both Pennsylvanians and out-of-state visitors alike, offering a wealth of recreational opportunities. The most popular activities at the park include hiking, biking, fishing, boating, and picnicking. The park also has several historic sites that are popular with visitors, including a gristmill and a covered bridge.

Gristmills are a type of water mill that grinds grain into flour. The first European settlers in the United States built gristmills, and many of these mills are still in use today. Gristmills come in a variety of shapes and sizes, but all have a few basic components: a wheel that turns the grinding stones, a hopper that feeds grain into the stones, and a chute that carries the flour away.

On the other hand, the covered bridge inside the Keystone State Park is a picturesque and popular spot for visitors to stop and take photos. The bridge was built in 1875 and is one of the oldest covered bridges in the state. The bridge is almost 200 feet long and spans a small creek. It's affectionately known as the "spaghetti bridge" because of the way the trusses criss-cross each other.

The park was first established in 1900s as a recreational area for the citizens of Latrobe. It was originally known as the Keystone Recreation Demonstration Area. In 1965, the park was renamed to the name it has today.

The park is situated on over 1,200 acres of land in the Allegheny Mountains. The highest point in the park is Mount Davis, which has an elevation of 3,213 feet.

The park is home to a variety of wildlife, including white-tailed deers, black bears, and wild turkeys. And it also offers a variety of recreational facilities, including a picnic area, swimming pool, and tennis courts.

Of course, it is important to be aware of the dos and don'ts when observing wildlife. Do keep a safe distance from all animals. This includes both park wildlife and any wild animals you may see on the side of the road. Don't attempt to touch or feed any park wildlife. This includes both park wildlife and any wild animals you may see on the side of the road. Do your part to keep Keystone State Park clean and free of trash. Litter can be harmful to both people and animals. And don't approach or enter any areas that are marked as closed. These areas are off limits for a reason and may be dangerous.

Aside from that, it's important to be aware of the rules and regulations in place. Some of the amenities within the park, like recreational areas and picnic areas, require that visitors follow specific guidelines. Failure to follow the rules and regulations can result in a fine, so it's important to be familiar with them before visiting this state park.

There are also a number of trails located within the park, including the Pennsylvania Heritage Trail and the St. Vincent Heights Trail. The Pennsylvania Heritage Trail is a scenic route that travels through some of the most beautiful areas of Pennsylvania. The trail includes more than 600 miles of roadway, and it is perfect for those who love to explore the outdoors.

The St. Vincent Heights Trail is a 0.8 mile loop located at Keystone State Park in Pennsylvania. The trail is named after the patron saint of the park, Saint Vincent de Paul. The hike is an easy walk and takes about 30 minutes to complete. The trail features a number of scenic overlooks, including one that offers a view of the Allegheny River.

The park also contains several historical landmarks, including the St. Vincent Archabbey and the Fort Ligonier Museum.

The St. Vincent Archabbey is an impressive sight to behold. It's the oldest Benedictine monastery in the United States, and it's located in Latrobe PA. If you're ever in the area, it's definitely worth a visit! Additional info.

The Fort Ligonier Museum is also a must-see if you're interested in American history. It's located in the town of Ligonier, Pennsylvania, and it houses a large collection of artifacts from the French and Indian War.

All in all, if you're looking for a place to go hiking or camping, Keystone State Park is a great option for your family and friends to visit. More about Pennsylvania here

JR Paving did an excellent job with our driveway. From scheduling to completion, the coordinator and crew were courteous and professional. They held the schedule and budget inline with the quotation. In fact, they went the extra mile with addressing our drainage issue, and even added a little apron for our garbage/recycling services. Highly recommend their services!

We are so pleased with the work that JR Paving did on our driveway. We have a large driveway that was a huge eyesore with many many cracks and potholes. The crew from JR removed the top layer and resurfaced the entire driveway, doing much of the work by hand as we have deck posts that complicated the job. They brought a large crew, who were all extremely nice to work with and very professional, despite working on a 95 degree day. The crew left the job site spotless, including the street and sidewalk outside of ours and our neighbors houses. Shannon was particularly great to work with, giving us detailed advice on how to keep the driveway looking great for the next decade. We really could not be happier with the driveway, and the service we received from JR! Highly recommend!

JR Paving from Latrobe PA just resurfaced our driveway. This is most experienced and knowledgeable company I ever dealt with. From beginning to the end of the paving job they kept us well informed. Our neighbors just had theirs paved. After seeing ours they said their job doesn't come close to ours. I'm still bragging about the neat professional job. If ever I need more work done they'll be my first call. Once again Kudos to Shannon and his crew. Remember JR Paving for all your asphalt needs.

JR Paving professionally installed the 12 parking spot additions onto our facility's existing access drive. We were very pleased with the quality. JR provided the lowest price of three local paving companies.
