Project Description:
Our team recently completed a professional commercial parking lot paving project for the Pheple Federal Credit Union in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. This full-service restoration was designed to repair severe pavement deterioration, correct surface irregularities, and deliver a smooth, high-capacity asphalt surface built to handle daily customer and employee traffic.
The project began with targeted cold milling across all keyways and transition zones to guarantee a smooth, flush tie-in with existing concrete aprons and surrounding roadways. Our crew also milled out the extremely damaged sections of the parking lot to remove deep cracking and unstable material down to the solid underlying base.
Following milling and surface cleanup, we executed a two-pass paving process. First, we paved a specialized leveling course over the prepped surface to fill in low spots, correct pitch, and create a completely uniform, structural plane. Once the leveling layer was compacted, we applied a 2-inch wearing surface of high-grade 9.5mm fine-aggregate asphalt across the entire parking lot. Using commercial heavy rollers, we compacted the hot mix down to a dense, seamless finish that minimizes water absorption.
To finalize the installation, our technicians sealed all perimeter edges and joint transitions—a crucial step in Western Pennsylvania to defend against water intrusion and winter freeze-thaw damage. Lastly, we repainted all parking stalls, directional markings, and accessibility zones with high-visibility, commercial-grade traffic paint to restore an organized, safe, and welcoming environment for credit union visitors.
By combining precision keyway milling, a structural leveling course, and rigorous compaction standards, we delivered a long-lasting pavement solution that significantly enhances the financial institution's safety and curb appeal. This project highlights our technical expertise in commercial asphalt resurfacing and property maintenance.
